Amanda Bolliger Crespo is a senior associate in the Los Angeles office of GBG.  Before helping GBG launch its LA office, Amanda spent 8 years practicing employment law at 2 large international firms, Paul Hastings and Ogletree Deakins. Amanda helped Ogletree open its office in her hometown of Portland, Oregon, growing that office from 3 to 18 lawyers over the course of 5 years.

 

Amanda counsels and defends employers facing the full spectrum of employment law issues.  Amanda has successfully litigated dozens of equal employment opportunity cases in federal and state courts throughout the West Coast, including claims of wrongful termination, failure to promote, failure to hire, unequal pay, retaliation, whistleblowing, discrimination, harassment, leave and disability violations, and failure to accommodate.  Amanda has handled cases involving public accommodation discrimination claims and Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblowing claims, including allegations of steering and violations of Dodd-Frank, as well as allegations of timecard fraud.  Amanda has also defended manufacturing, retail, and newspaper industry clients against putative class actions alleging a host of wage/hour claims, including independent contractor misclassification, misclassification for purposes of exempt status, missed meal and rest periods, minimum wage violations, and unlawful deductions.

 

Before entering private practice, Amanda clerked for the Chief Judge of the District of Oregon, the Honorable Ancer L. Haggerty.
